Our Aims

-we hope to give a voice to people who use cannabis and feel it is there right to use cannabis, as it is relatively harmless to society when used responsibily and safer for the individual when regulated

-we aim to help educate cannabis users, to encourage them to use it only responsibily and be aware of the risks involved

-we aim to bring about change in the attitude toward cannabis and remove the bad stigma which has been attatched to it, by decades of lies and deceit

-we aim to create a cannabis community similiar to that in the UK which allows people to band together to face up to unjust laws and unscrupulous drug dealers

-we aim to work bit by bit, for as long as it takes to improve the overall situation for cannabis users and we believe we have already begun to succeed in this goal!

We do not expect this to be an easy or a short road, but we intend to stay with it to the end!!!!

What are we doing?

1. We are organising an anti cannabis prohibition protest march, on Sunday May 6th, starting at 2pm at Parnell Square, to try and bring life to the cannabis issue and gain support from people who believe cannabis prohibition is wrong.

2. We are distributing an information pamphlet that highlights the reasons we believe cannabis should be legal and informs people about basic cannabis facts, that have been hidden and marred by false propaganda.

3. We are collecting signatures on a petition outlining the reasons we believe cannabis should be legal.

4. We are meeting once a week to ensure the upcoming march runs as smoothly and successfully as possible and to discuss future campaigns and events to ensure we use the energy which will be created by the march.

5. We are bringing life to an issue, we feel has been left unfixed for far too long, with more and more people joining up to support everyday.

GRIT WEED-SERIOUS HEALTH WARNING!

-Smoking this weed has resulted in mouth ulcers& sore throats/chesty coughs which never occur when smoking normally due to the good health& only occasional cannabis use of the subject.
-Reliable sources say that this contaminant is industrial etchant spray used for glass frosting, it is a high pressure aerosol of propellant, lubricant and silicate abrasives.
-DO NOT SMOKE THIS, IT MAY POSE A SICNIFICANT HEALTH HAZARD AND WE MAY SEE A DRUG TAKING COMMUNITY CRISIS ON A LARGER SCALE THAN THE MPTP CRISIS OF THE EARLY 80'S.

BUYERS: PLEASE RECONSIDER BEFORE BUYING ANY MORE OF THIS, AND CONSIDER THE DAMAGE YOU MAY BE CAUSING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS

-Other contaminants such as natural sand are probaly the result of suppliers copying the etchant method with whatever they have to hand.

Our best advice is not to buy this weed, it is only by saying no to this rip off& health hazard, that we can stop it from happening.

If you feel you absolutely must (which is sad) please use filter tips instead of roche's, or pipes with a good gauze as this should reduce the health risk.

GRIT WEED TEST

First sign- shiny sparkle bits that could be passed off as thc crystals. Test-crumble some up in your fingers, rub your dusty fingers on your teeth, grind your teeth, If you feel a cackly crunching like you are eating sand, tell them to "RAM IT!"

Be ware of sugar weed. Because of backlash from grit weed, some dealers are now adding sugar or sweetener. The effects of this are unknown to us, but one thing is for sure, it's just another rip off!! Don't buy or they'll keep doin it!

DON'T BUY SOAP! DON'T SMOKE SOAP! DON'T SELL SOAP!

Because it's illegal and so often supplied by profit motivated criminal networks, cannabis - especially hash - sold in the Ireland is often of low quality and contains contaminants. SOAPBAR (it's called "soap" because a 250g bar is shaped like a bar of soap) has been the most common type of hash in Ireland for many years and it is often the most polluted. Now, not all soap is bad of course, but some certainly is. At worst there may only be a tiny amount of low grade hash mixed with some very strange stuff: Beeswax, turpentine, milk powder, ketamine, boot polish, henna, pine resin, aspirin, animal turds, ground coffee, barbiturates, glues and dyes plus carcinogenic solvents such as Toluene and Benzene
This is what happens under prohibition. If your pint down the pub contained any of these nasty things wouldn't you complain? Of course you would, well now its time to complain about polluted cannabis supplies. Join us in saying "NO" to crap hash, tell your friends, tell your dealer!

Answer to "It's never gonna happen"

Ya know what really Grinds My Gears???

Aahhhhhhhh!!! Ya know I can understand people who don't smoke cannabis bein all anti cannabis, they are dillusional and mis-informed, but ya know what really "grinds my gears" , people who do toke and are so negative about positive action, AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

(Sorry gonna have a rant here, I'm dead serious, but only playin too, so no offence)

Ok, so any one with half a brain can figure out that legalisation is not likely to happen tommorrow, but people who say "it's never going to happen" desrve to have hot coffee poured up there nose to wake them up to the realities of the world!!(this is not meant to be taken literally, we do not advocate or promote the pouring of hot coffee up peoples noses, please don't try this at home no matter how annoyingly ignorant people are)!

The World is an ever changing place, if you had told a lot of people in the early 80's in Ireland that it would one day be legal to be gay, do you think they would believe you? Those people got a big shock in the early 90's. Now travel back again to the 80's and try convincing someone, not only would it be legal, but there would be same sex marriages someday, goodluck with that!!! That's how I feel now, trying to convince people that legalisation of cannabis is a serious, realistic, long term goal!!! But you can be damn sure being gay and same sex marriages did not come about from gay people sitting round saying "it's never gonna happen"!!!

Ok, sorry, had to get that out of my system, but putting that aside for a minute, it may be easier for you to be convinced of some of our short term goals:

-we hope to give a voice to people who use cannabis and feel it is there right to use cannabis, as they are harming no one,

-we aim to help educate cannabis users and potential cannabis users, to encourage them to use it only responsibily and be aware of the risks involved,

-we aim to bring about change in the attitude toward cannabis and remove the bad stigma which has been attatched to it, by decades of lies and deceit

-we aim to create a cannabis community similiar to that in the UK which allows people to band together to face up to unjust laws and unscrupulous drug dealers

-we aim to work bit by bit for as long as it takes to improve the overall situation for cannabis users and we believe we have already begun to succeed in this goal!

We do not expect this to be an easy or a short road, but we intend to stay with it to the end!!!!

Ha, thanks for inspiring me, that'll come in handy for a minifesto or sumit?

See ya MAY 6TH!!!!

Many Uses of Hemp

Once upon a time Hemp was the most important crop that man used, providing, food, fuel, clothes and shelter.

Paper: Hemp paper lasts hundreds of years longer than tree paper, is more durable, requires no chlorides or bleaches like tree-pulp paper, which poisons our rivers and seas and doesn’t turn yellow and crack like tree paper. Saving our forests means more oxygen and a cleaner atmosphere.

Fuel: Hemp can produce electricity from sulphur-free coal for industry, heat for homes and ethanol/methanol fuel for cars with competitive fuel-to-feed ratios. If grown as an energy crop, hemp would reduce global warming by lowering carbon levels in the atmosphere.

Food: Hemp is the most complete food source on earth. It is the only food with all 8 essential amino acids, and all 4 essential fatty acids in perfect balance for consumption, it can also supply fibre, carbohydrates and a significant portion of your minerals and vitamins

Cloth: Hemp fibre is the longest, strongest, most durable, most elastic and most absorbent natural fibre. Compared to cotton, which uses 25% of the worlds crop chemicals, hemp is stronger, more durable, won’t mildew, shrinks less, is U.V protectant and uses less water.

Oil: Hemp requires no herbicide, pesticides, fungicides or fertilizer to flourish. Hemp oil can be made into any oil based product, including paint that lasts longer and sealant that is better absorbed by wood. These products are not toxic when discarded.

Homes: Hemp hurd foundation walls, which require no insulation, petrify becoming hard as stone, yet retain elasticity and breath ability. These fire, water, and rodent proof homes will bend, but not break, even under tornado winds. Hemp boards are three times stronger than wood.

These are just six of the many thousands of uses this diverse plant has.
Prohibition of marijuana has given the hemp plant a dirty name lets try to change this!

Prohibition Quite Simply Does Not Work!

The aim of policy& law on cannabis should be to reduce/limit social& health risks/problems for everyone on an equal basis.
Prohibition has never& will never remove cannabis from availability, therefore, unless the aim of prohibition is to protect a very small minority of grown adults, from the possibility of making a potentially bad decision, prohibition can not be considered a success.

Prohibition puts cannabis in the hands of criminals, more often than not, with low or no principals.
This in turn leads to
-gangland crime& murder
-no control over cannabis
-no age limit, making cannabis readily available to many children
-no quality control, leading to contaminated substance& added health risks
-no price control, leading to ridiculously inflated prices
-no tax benefits

Prohibition prevents the very important use of cannabis for medicinal purposes
-can be used to treat appetite loss (ex. from aids or cancer treatment)
-can be used to treat nausea
-is reported to help glaucoma patients by reducing ocular pressure, which can damage the eye
-it is claimed to be one of the best& sometimes the only reliever of pain (ex. MS sufferers)

Prohibition creates more social problems
-has the potential to destroy lives, by limiting travel& career prospects
-makes criminals of otherwise law abiding citizens
-forces decent people to associate with 'real' criminals
-creates stigma& makes it difficult for people to access usefull, important information

A Brief History of Cannabis Prohibition

In 1912 cannabis was made illegal in Uk(including Ireland at the time) because it was making bonded servants(slaves?) lathergic/lazy?

Why is marijuana illegal? Why is it not called by it's proper name of cannabis hemp? In the
1930's, a new machine was invented that made it much cheaper to use the pulp from the
cannabis hemp plant. This threatened the profits of an extremely wealthy American business man, William Randolph Hearst from his forest paper pulp business and the Du Pont company from their bleaching and plastic making chemical processes. They teamed up with
Harry Anslinger in the U.S government and invented marijuana out of whole cloth. Hearst's
many newspapers ran made up stories about the harms of this "evil weed", and those stories
were used as evidence in U.S congress to pass a new tax on marijuana. The politicians who
voted for this legislation didn't even realize that marijuana was the same as cannabis hemp that
they were using in huge quantities in their states.

This disgusting lie started cannabis prohibition industry. Prohibition has continued based on
more lies. There is not a shred of truth in any of it! In fact smoking or eating cannabis is in
comparison to many legal drugs harmless. In the history of humankind no one has ever died from a cannabis overdose. In many ways, cannabis is safer than alcohol, tobacco and prescribed drugs. Not only that, cannabis hemp has a lot of important industrial and medical uses. It makes cheaper and better paper than trees, it can be used to make building materials, you can burn the seed oil as fuel and eat it on your salad or in your baking. The
seeds are a complete protein on a par with or better than soy as a vegetable source of protein. Cannabis is also the best known medicine for treating nausea caused by drugs to treat cancer or aids. It not only eliminates the nausea completely, it restores the appetite. And the list goes on. We have only scratched the surface of it's uses.

By any rational standard, cannabis should be available over the counter, in bulk in your local health food store for a reasonable price.

So who are the criminals here?

The criminals are the people who make and enforce these stupid laws, the politicians, the judges and the gardai. They are all guilty of holding back a very useful plant that does a hell of a lot more good than it does bad.

The cannabis hemp plant can be a real solution to the dependence we have on oil and should be taken seriously as a real alternative.

Free the weed and help make prohibition history.
It's in your hands!
